YAESU.... what does it mean?

First of all...YAESU is a part of the city of Tokyo, capital city of Japan.

For the world of the ham radio / amateur radio people it is one of the major suppliers of the equipment. The first radio equipment I used was an old FT 101 radio with low tubes. For VHF the first one was a FT225 all mode radio... so this love started in the 70´s and is still ongoing. I collected all radios I ever bought and keep them as a kind of museum. In meantime I got several very nice pictures and support from other collectors around the world.

I support YAESU since some time during exhibitions. For me it is a great opportunity to meet old friends and make new contacts. Here are some pictures of the last Friedrichshafen show in summer 2010
