Heil Sound

Within short time I got a real fan of Bob Heil`s great products. If you ever try to win a contest, a 6m DX under bad Condx.... try the HC4 element installed in in a Heil audio product. Sure you will never use any other microphone for difficult conditions. For local QSO, “just talking” etc I love the HC5 element with a wide audio and nice sound. All of this work great with Yaesu Trx. Please check my own research of setup values for the different combinations.

PR-40-cherrywood-box PR-40-SM-2-side-CBS_L

My favorite.....

Bob Heil introduces his incredible PR 40 featuring the new technology of the Heil DM 6 dynamic element with response down to 28 Hz. and stays perfectly flat up through 18kHz. with a beautiful mid range rise giving this new microphone gorgeous vocal articulation. It truly outperforms many of the current microphones that all use at least 30 year old technology. Gorgeous craftsmanship, high quality components and a beautiful champagne luster finish with the most articulate, natural sound from a dynamic, the PR 40 will soon become the sound industry standard.

In many blind A/B tests in a Burbank rehearsal hall, the Heil lab, and several major studios around the U.S. , this revolutionary Heil dynamic microphone exhibits amazingly clear, clean, natural sound that equals and surpasses many of the cheap condenser models that have recently flooded the U.S. market. The Heil PR 40 uses a very unique copper wound voice coil with a neodymium magnet structure which creates a magnetic field ten times stronger than the traditional magnets of other microphones. Coupling to a low mass quilted aluminum diaphragm exhibits the tremendous low frequency response and low distortion throughout it's wide frequency range.

The dynamic Heil PR 40 looks like, feels like and acts like a condenser in every respect. No more phantom power. No more background noise and you now have the absolute quietest microphone - ever. It truly outperforms the old industry standards costing 5 to 6 times more.

I run the PR 40 with my FT 1000 MK5 and the EQplus box (made by W2IHY) at home
